Date night with my gal Liana @Jamie’s Italian, Sydney.

After a long evening at Fashion Weekend, my gal Liana and I decided to grab a late bite at Jamie Oliver’s new bustling Sydney restaurant ‘Jamie’s Italian’. I honestly arrived at the restaurant with lower than usual expectations because, ‘hypes’ have never really drawn me for the undesirable over-crowdedness of ‘talk-of-town’ type restaurants. But I do love being proven wrong otherwise, and I ended up absolutely loving the simplicity of it all at Jamie’s Italian! First of all, staff provided impeccable service. Friendly and well informative with their menu - extremely important and helpful particularly for a rather indecisive person such as myself (and it’s even worse when I’m absolutely starving). Secondly what surprised me most was the exceptional price range, particularly for the quality of the dishes - and it is for that reason Jamie’s Italian immediately won me over. Such simple Italian flavours but definitely a place I’d prefer to hit up regularly for the casual Italian fix. Must I add, the Polenta chips is all I think about lately, MMM!

Flavour of the week: Van She - Idea of happiness

It’s a real ‘what-the-fuck-did-I-just-watch?’ type of video clip. But it’s one hellla catchy song! Good to see Van She back with a new track, but familiar beat!

So back tracking just over a fortnight ago my favourite gal pals and I had pre-booked in advance a night of fashion fun at the Fashion Weekend held at the Royal Hall of Industries. A bit of runway fun, enjoying a few bubbly’s and discounted designer labels was the perfect Friday night recipe with good company.

Note to self for next time however, never mix having too many alcohol beverages while shopping… you’re only going to end up with goods you weren’t even aware of purchasing haha. Ah sigh, my credit card is never going to see the end of debt!

Time is of the Essence

Wow, where does all the time go? Ever since beginning my new job and slowly settling in at Burberry, I haven’t had the time to really catch up on my regular blog posts - so thank you to all you guys who have managed to bare with me haha. My new schedule has been a little full on, and lately all I really want to do after a long day is shower, eat and sleep. Any other spare time I manage to squeeze out of my day is spent briefly catching up with my social life. So my schedule has really been around the clock considering I still also have studies to fit into that agenda somehow. So for the next few weeks or so it’s going to be difficult to promise frequent updates, particularly with my fashion blog www.vucouturegirl.blogspot.com where I have promised plenty of collaborative photo shoots with the boy, however now, with my new work schedule it seems like there’s going to be a few clashes and fewer opportunities to get them done. So it looks like vucouturegirl will be on an occasional hiatus for all I know.

But once again, thanks to all my blog readers… I wouldn’t be a motivated blogger if it weren’t for you guys! Drop me a note anytime on my ‘Ask me anything’ link on the left hand side of my page, or my even on my Formspring. Even though I lack the free time to answer questions immediately, I will eventually get around to it :)

Lots of Love Anna.

It’s moment like these you realise how quickly you’re growing up. We’re definitely not getting any younger! Congratulations once again and all the very best to my friends Crock and Kim on their expecting baby girl about to enter this world so very soon! Kim’s very cute baby shower a few weekends back definitely left everyone feeling a little clucky. It was such an adorable baby shower with plenty of pink, girly candle and table arrangements set up by Kim herself, delicious sweets, and of course your traditional baby shower games. An afternoon not only for the girls to enjoy but even the boys ended up having a blast with the baby shower games - haha who would have thought?
