@KT’s Grill, Universal Studios - Singapore.
Strangely one of the best streaks I’ve ever had! I’ve always been skeptical about ordering steak anywhere else in the world because let’s face it, besides America, Australia has one of the best produce of beef in the world. And so many times have I eaten at a restaurant that can never distinguish serving a medium rare cooked steak from a medium - so I take my hat off to the chef who served one hell of a mean steak at KT’s Grill! ‘KT’s Grill’ was a real inconspicuous gem of a restaurant which almost blended too well into the surrounding faux facade. In my opinion the head chef should really consider opening outside of Universal Studios hehe. Delish!
We arrived in Singapore in the later hours of of our first night, and after a long 8 hour flight followed by having to check-in at ‘Sheriton Towers’, we were all fairly famished by that point after settling into our stay. My friends and I made a pact to take up every opportunity to make the most of every night in Singapore. And so, after getting all dolled up, we made our first visit to the infamous up-late district ‘Clarke Quay’ to start our time in Singapore with a few simple beers and tacos before doing a round of light bar hopping. But of course, a few light drinks turned into an all night bender when we found ourselves in an unexpected nightclub. It was definitely either go hard or go home haha…

Friday night Spanish Tapas by yours truly: Spanish Meatballs, aka. “Albondigas”
I’ve been on a bit of a cooking frenzy lately since reality TV cooking competition ‘My Kitchen Rules’ had finished airing for this year. And as a new alternative to help me save money for my vacation Tim and I have been spending our weekends on a more intimate and low-key basis through cooking. Last Friday was Spanish Tapas night and although it was my first time cooking Spanish, I’m glad how everything turned out. I think I really out-did myself this time round hehe. As much as Tim is not a fan of meatballs in general, my ‘Albondigas’ aka. Spanish Meatballs was a happy winner! I think I deserve a ‘Girlfriend-of-the-Year’ award for all this cooking for him :)

Pre-Flume Concert Dinner
Monday’s quick bite at one of my favourite new easy eating spots ‘Mi Piace’ at ‘Fox Studios‘ before heading to Hordern Pavillion to see ‘Flume’ Live in concert. Service wasn’t so A-grade, but it’s definitely one of those strange gem-of-a-find restaurants for great simple food! Strangely enough in my opinion, they hold the title for best pizza and especially sangria jugs in town.
